Somewhere in my early years, I began drawing stick figures. In the first grade, my assignment was to create a short
book with the cover made out of red construction paper. The story was about a stick man or boy who was chewing bubble
gum. I don’t believe this book inspired me to become the artist I am today, but this first art piece was certainly the
most memorable.
Once I became older, I enjoyed drawing cars and planes, and then I moved to sketching transformable robots similar to The
Transformers.
In my teenage years, I expanded my artistry to sketching characters like ninjas and then people as my interest in the
anatomy of people began to grow. My style gradually developed to a more realistic representation but as an anime-inspired
figure. In addition, I began to write stories that gave life and meaning to the characters I created through my drawings.
Following high school graduation, I save enough money to buy my first computer where I experimented using CorelDraw to
create illustrations. This was a hobby until I decided to turn my passion into a career by enrolling at Ivy Tech State
College where I studied Design Technology and Visual Communications. This began my journey as a graphic designer with
over two decades of experience.
I continue to increase my knowledge of the industry by researching new and modern solutions and methods to assist
clients in communicating their brand’s story.
