I just want to make this junk known, so I am putting it out there. I have had this on previous websites that I have put together. Many times I see this email from and Eric Jones. This silly thing is whoever created this one should know better that many know that as soon as they see this name, it is nothing to be interested in or to be deleted immediately.

If you receive an email that appears to be questionable, do not click any links. Even emails that appear to be from a legitimate source should be left alone for you to literally log into your account to find out of there is anything that needs your attention.

It was the first time I've ever heard of the fake check scam. I was contacted by an individual who wanted a logo designed, however his English was quite broken, but not too bad. I figured it was a foreigner who was now living in the United States and needs a logo for a business he was opening. He became quite pushing about paying so soon and first before the work was done. He showed no interest in the work that I have done already. After he gave me his budget I had set the cost for his logo design which he very quickly accepted, then sent a check through the mail and telling me that a mistake was made and they sent too much. I was then to take the check and deposit it while withdrawing the remaining amount of the check separating from the amount I am supposed to be paid. I almost went through with it until I was informed by another of this scam. Then I immediately shredded the fake check. The remainder of the money was actually going to be theirs out of MY bank account. MY money!

Do your research and find all of the possible scams. Stay safe and stay productive. Do let the cyber criminals win. They fight dirty and care nothing for your well being. They want to steal your hard earned money for themselves, taking even every bit of what you possess.
