Continuing with my toping about my new Sony A7IV, I had also acquired a Sony 50mm f/1.2 G Master lens. Some may believe this is a waste or unwise, but I decided to go to my local camera dealer to trade in my old camera and all of it's lenses. I believe for me that it was a fantastic idea, just for one lens. This Sony lens.

For a small and lightweight camera body, this lens certainly is a heavy one. Of course I am used to heavy lenses. I love these very high aperture lenses because of the beauty that they create! Being the artist that I am and knowing photography to be a form of art, this lens really makes the object being photographed, to become art.

I think about a YouTube video that I watched where a professional photographer mentioned about lenses and what most other photographers my buy or own a specific lens for. For example a 50mm lens would be generally considered a portrait lens, but a person such as myself enjoys taking nature photography. Plants and wildlife, as well as still life are more of my forte. So why not use the 50mm for nature instead of taking people. In summery, use the lens for something most other photographers do not use it for.

Getting back to my point, I love this lens for framing subjects to look like art because that, to me is what this lens creates. It creates art. Making the photo of a specific subject appear as a painting.
