> Rise of SCAMS

Maybe it is not so much that scams are suddenly increasing, however I feel I’m seeing more or maybe receiving more attacks by these kind of scams lately.

This post is more of a rant since there is nothing I seem to be able to do about this trash but to make all aware. I do believe I’ve said in a previous post to know their patterns.

The top image is exactly what I received today (08/5/2022). I receive a phone call many times first, then I check my email to see who it might be coming from. Generally it is not a name that even looks remotely American. Sometimes it is a very common American name. I will always block the number, but then this particular one contacted me by another number, very similar because they new I blocked the one. Generally it is wise not to apply, but to completely ignore, block the number and delete them.

The bottom image is a portion of a message of a guy who emailed me from this website pretending to be a potential client looking for a logo to be designed for his automotive company. The irony about this is that the first time it happened was a guy looking to have a logo designed for an automotive company again. I have had this start to happen like two more times also I believe automotive companies and pretending to be Americans which they are not. You can see in the image the list of information he wanted which I was about to give absolutely nothing. This is information for a check(fake check). I proceeded to tell him I do not accept checks, but electronic payment only. That I only will accept checks from clients I have a good business relationship with. He replied later with the intent to get back in touch next week with a new payment method. lol

Find their patterns, protect yourself, and your business. Make all aware so these people do not win. Yesterday I took the pleasure in watching YouTube videos of what I call scam busters (People who bust scammers). They showed photos of some of these scammers which believe it or not get rich off of their victims. They live wealthy lives while the victims are sucked dry of their finances. Let us stop this occurrence.
